That means judder-free pictures in all kinds of challenging shooting environments. Enjoy approximately a 4-stop shutter speed advantage, making it much easier to take sharp, blur-free images when shooting handheld in dim lighting.

Beautiful defocused backgrounds

With a maximum aperture of F1.8, this lens is equivalent to a mid-range telephoto with a focal length of 75mm in 35mm format. An innovative optical design and circular aperture enables you to enjoy beautiful defocusing. Especially good for portraits where its focal length allows communication with your subject while maintaining a comfortable shooting distance.

High speed, super quiet focusing

Lens operation is fast but also smooth and quiet with minimum noise when shooting movies. A linear motor ensures low-noise focusing while a stepping motor built into the lens results in smooth, quiet aperture operation. In addition, Direct Manual Focus allows you to go directly to manual focusing when autofocus has trouble locking onto the subject or when you want to focus on a specific detail - perfect for portraits and macro shots where the depth of field can be extremely shallow.
